Zi Wei Dou Shu is the method to analyze universal energy essentially the impact of the certain groups of stars and constellations that influence human life. This system can reveal the detail of human destiny precisely. Basically, there are 12 palaces which closely interact to each individual’s life; they are about the individual itself, parents, karma, career, friends, health, wealth, spouse, sibling, property, children, and movement.
Only input the birth date into the software, it will show all stars location according to such birth date; and automatically places each star into each palace; which will reveal what incidents are going to happen in which area of our life. Let's get into detail of how this ZWDS works.
How to enter birth date
This screen will be the first screen that you will meet when entering this software.
Firstly, tap any palace 1-2 times until the middle of screen show the Ba Zi or birth date information as shown on the sample screen. Then, tapping on the middle screen will bring you to the Ba Zi screen that you can enter your desired birth date.
Note: sometimes, the middle screen will show stars and other information. We truly need to tap any of 12 palaces 1-2 times until the middle screen show the Ba Zi as shown like the sample screen on left.
Then, the screen will change to the Ba Zi screen.
From this screen, you can tap in the dot-line box (which shown date and time). This will allow you to go to the next screen to change or edit your birth date information.
And, this screen will also allow you to retrieve database of birthday that previously restored by tapping on folder icon 
After inputting new birth date; if you want to save in device database; just tapping diskette icon  .
Combined Solar & Lunar Calendar
 This screen will allow you to choose specific birth date; by year, date, and hour.
At the top-right of screen:
C: show solar calendar with stems & branches.
H: show solar calendar with stems & branches in English format.
L: show lunar calendar.
Then, click OK button to go back to the ba zi screen (the previous screen).
Click N, if you want the calendar to show today information.
Leap Month
At Lunar calendar screen, in each calendar date…
-Solar date is the number on the left of each cell.
-D represents date in Lunar system.
-M represents month in Lunar system.
For the LEAPMONTH;
There will be double number after “M”, it will represent that it is leap month. For example,
M7: is 7th month in lunar calendar
M77: is the LEAP month (7th month is leap month)
Triangular grids & 12 Palaces
 click this icon to switch the display to view only information in triangular-grid and opposite palaces.
 click this icon to switch the display to view “12 palaces screen”
Clicking on each individual palace will bring all information of such palace to show in the middle of screen.
Menu and Function for different view of ziwei_G software
On the main screen (left picture); there is a menu bar which carries 6 different icons on the bottom of the main screen.
 : menu to filter stars in each palace.
 : menu to view 12 palaces, 12 life cycle, and 10 year luck cycle.
 : menu to alter location of triangular-palaces.
 : menu to change names of star between full-description and abbreviation form.
 : menu to view summary-information of this particular zi wei chart.
: menu to view only triangular-palaces.
: menu to alter location of triangular-palaces.
After click this icon; the middle of the main screen will allow you to relocate triangular location or set a new triangular-grid according to life-cycle.
For example, in year 2010 has yearly branch is E3, life-palace for year-chart must be located at E3. So, we click on palace of E3 to choose the “life-palace” of this specific year. Then, all other palaces will move accordingly.
After choosing new triangular-grid, the screen will show you the triangular-line according to the new life-palace; this is useful for checking different life-cycle eg 10-years, mini-luck, yearly-luck.
Flying life-palace will show in “green color” on the bottom. These green color palaces are used to considered for different-life cycle. And, 4-Hua will move accordingly.
Whereas, palaces of the very original chart (heaven-pan) will display in “blue color”. These blue-color palaces are fixed; and will not change. Therefore, you can compare between original chart and the chart in different life-cycle at the same time.
