The science of Feng Shui has its origin over a thousand years. Its formula has been proven accurate and handed down until today. Knowing the usage of Feng Shui enable one to get the edge on others and can be incredibly prosperous.
The problem is, however, almost all of the ancient Feng Shui texts are about Yin Feng Shui (The Feng Shui of graveyard) with rarity on the topic of Yang Feng Shui (The Feng Shui of the living). Also, in the past, there is none of modern innovations such as skyline buildings, flyovers, subways, mirrors or computers. The modern structures have just made their existence a 100 years ago. As a result, each Feng Shui master writes about Yang Feng Shui in different ways - either true or incorrect, causing confusion among the enthusiasts of Feng Shui and making it impossible for practical usage.
The most important thing of good Feng Shui is the source of energy that will pervade into the building, making the energy of that place get activated. Without the good source of flowing energy and ability to accumulate the energy in the location, even the best located direction is proved useless. As such, this topic is the heart of Feng Shui. A Feng Shui master, once, said “Bad location doesn’t need Luo Pan.” This means it is a waste of time to determine the orientation of the place for the energy assessment if the Feng Shui of the location is bad. The analysis of location is the advanced technique that once had been kept secret.
Ways to Choose Good Feng Shui Location The important thing is to choose a spacious location which can be seen from far distance and receive energy from several directions.
1. Located in embraced by the road not necessary all auspicious.
Normally, every Feng Shui book in the market all tell that the building embraced by a curved road is all auspicious. This is not necessary true. Actually we need to analyze the flow of Qi to making location facade outstanding.

“Qi comes with the wind and stop at the water.”
This means that when there is the wind, the energy will come. Based on this idea, the best location in the figure given is the center building B because its facade is most outstanding and protrude to receive the flowing energy that come with vehicles.
The building A is the second best. It can receive the energy, but the distance is too close so the energy cannot be fully accumulated. This means there always are so many opportunities coming in but the occupants cannot seize them promptly.
The Building C is the worst of all because it is located behind the curve which makes it unseen from the view when driving. The wind cannot flow in and the energy cannot be accumulated. Living here is not flourishing.
Note that a building located on the outside curve is not necessarily bad. In the example, the building F is better than the building C, D, E because it can receive Qi very clearly from far distance. (Note; the different angel, degree, slop and flow make a totally different result.
One example is Harrods Department Store in England also located on the outside curve. Although the location can accumulate Qi, then the business runs very good.

2. Being directly hit by a street but have good orientation
There is Feng Shui taboos about places located on T-junction, sharp curves or directly hit by streets. Actually, such locations are not necessarily unlucky. It depends on the directions they are located. If in good direction, they will bring in good fortune. If in the bad direction, the result will be adverse.
In more advanced Feng Shui, ones will need to determine whether the traffic of the road-in-case is moving in or out, wind direction, slope in or slope out and how these affect to the direction of the house.

This is the case study that master Mas choose for one customer, that is face directly the win tunnel. Which is all the Feng Shui book said this is the tunnel Sha. But it is not neccesary true. If you know the secret condition, then this type of landform is one of the most auspicious Feng Shui!
3. Located on the junction of the road (e.g. traffic circle or center hall in the department store)
Such location receives the energy from several directions. It is a good place for several kinds of business.
If customer ask you to choose the shop. Which shop is consider good in the Feng Shui point of view?
4. Located on the energy-seizing location
Example here shows a group of commercial buildings with its center curved inside for parking cars, leaving parts of buildings protrude to obstruct the energy flow. As a result, the first two buildings will lack of nurture from the energy. In this case, even the building has good direction, it is proved useless. As for the next two buildings, there is enough space for energy to flow in. This is why the different buildings facing the same directions and located in the neighboring area are not always necessary to have the same good Feng Shui
If customer ask you to choose the shop. Which shop is consider good Feng Shui? ...Why?
MBK Center is a good example as the most prosperous department store in Thailand. The building itself has good Feng Shui with a flyover and 2-storey sky train on its left to block the energy that come with vehicles, making the energy turn back and accumulate within the building.

To two important group of classical Feng Shui schools are the San He - Three Harmony schools, and the San Yuan - the three Era schools. Xuan Kong Da Gua is belong to the part of San Yuan schools, also known as Yi Gua Pai, which is base on the I Ching principle.
Xuan Kong Da Gua is one of Feng Shui school that is hold the most complete theory to connect energy of the heaven with energy of the Earth to support energy of the person. It was put together by Qing Dynasty Feng Shui scholar named Zhang Xin-Yan who wrote a classic called "Di Li Bian Zheng Shu" (The Correct Interpretation of the Principles of the Earth) in 1827.
Xuan Kong Da Gua means “The Mystical Emptiness of the 64 Gua” of the I Ching. The word Xuan Kong means mystery and void. Although, it actually means how time and space affected each other. That is what the principle of Xuan Kong Da Gua which lies on interaction between Yin and Yang forces and the Five Agents of Nature (Wu Xing).
Xuan Kong Da Gua subject have 2 importance parts. First is referred as the 64 hexagrams Feng Shui that is the tool to manage the Earth Qi. While the second part is Xuan Kong Da Gua Date Selection, which is the tool to manage the Heaven Qi.

1. Below are activities that need to consult an auspicious time
House expanding, changing roof, digging the ground, planting trees, cutting trees, drilling wall, nailing, knocking, demolishing, renovating, restoring or any kinds of activities that are noisy or disturbing both inside and outside of the house. Moving furnitures, changing head-pointing direction, installing water feature, digging a well, installing air-condition or electric fan, hanging pictures, wiring, dredging up water drain, fixing wall paper, piling, hanging signboard, moving to a new house, changing floor, tiling, stone polishing or any activities related to the land and all kinds of buildings
Taking the activities without consulting an auspicious time may activate negative energy of year/month/day/hour, causing serious misfortunes within 7 days and the bad luck will linger at least 4 months. Some directions can cause constant misfortunes as long as 12 years. If the activity cannot be avoided, always consult an auspicious time first.
2. When confronting problems or misfortunes in life, you must think back to a few weeks ago before the misfortunes happen, considering whether you have taken any activities without consulting an auspicious time
Examine carefully both inside and surrounding of the house, checking in every direction whether your neighbors have taken any activities stated above which are noisy and disturbing. These activities can be caused by governmental service e.g. fixing roads or drains, cutting trees etc. If you explore something of the mentioned, do check the direction where the action was taken by referring to your floor plan/chart. Then call for consulting the solutions (Note: If the bad direction is avoided, the negative effect will not occur.)
3. To follow Feng Shui suggestions, the action must be taken on a specified auspicious time and continued to completion with no more than a few days gap allowed in the same spot of action. Then continue to other spots being near to the spot of first action with no need to use a new auspicious time as it is considered a continuous auspicious time. Only the spots that are in the distance from the first spot need a new auspicious time.
4. After making Feng Shui arrangement, if all are correctly taken, you will see the result within a week or a month or not later than 120 days. If the result is not felt apparently, take photos and bring them together with the floor plan/chart for consultation with your master in order to find out what you had mistaken.
How to use XKDG date selection to gain auspiciousness from San Sha
San Sha also known as ‘Three Killings’ is an annual inauspicious direction. That will be in different directions and locations each year. The San Sha directions are considered by Feng Shui Masters to be of extreme importance in Feng Shui applications.
Most of Masters always recommend to avoid disturbing the earth or engaging in renovations or construction in the San Sha direction. Also do not engage any new construction of a building that sits on the San Sha direction.
Disturbing or Offending the San Sha direction may cause various levels of effects including illness and injury. Minor effects could entail short term illnesses and loss of money. Medial effects could entail blood-related injuries and loss of wealth. Extreme effects could entail severe injuries, calamities, destitution and fatalities.
It is advisable to choose proper dates from the Xuan Kong Da Gua Date Selection method if necessary to perform construction or renovations in the San Sha direction.
